Today I evaluated my sources that are in my bibliography using a template provided by the sixth form. A few select resources were chosen to be evaluated and this was successful as I chose a different type of resource for each source evaluation, for example, a book, website, video clip, primary research etc. When choosing the resources that I was going to use in my project I was very specific about whether they were reliable and accurate, meaning that I had a lot to write in my source evaluations. I also filled out the connect-extend-challenge sheets for the same sample of resources. This could have been done more effectively however, as I could have gone into more depth.

I finalised my dissertation and wrote my conclusion. This was successful as I ended the dissertation with a quote from Albert Einstein that was in support of a vegetarian diet. Albert Einstein is a world renowned theoretical physicist and philosopher of science which made his comment:

"Nothing will benefit human health and increase the chances of survival of life on earth as much as the evolution to a vegetarian diet." - Albert Einstein

all the more significant. By writing a conclusion I was able to summarise everything I had learnt during the course of my extended project and my writing skills also improved. By writing it from my own understanding it also solidified my knowledge of the topic. For the final stages of completing my project I will evaluate my sources and complete the connect-extend-challenge documents for a select few of my resources, as well as finalise my PPR form.

I wrote approximately 250 words regarding the results from my survey (primary research). It was interesting to see that the majority of respondents were unaware of the environmental impacts of meat production and most promisingly they were prepared to reduce their intake of meat. This supported what I thought would be the case. I wrote about these results in my dissertation. In order to present my results in a more accessible manner I put them into pie charts. This was successful as it is easier to see the results visually and it meant I gained another skill with regard to how the website survey monkey works. Next I need to write the conclusion of my dissertation.
